Reconfiguring a Windows 95 System
Installing TranXit
Verify the IrDA Port Settings
To verify your system settings in Device Manager, follow
these steps:
1 Click the My Computer icon with the secondary
AccuPoint button.
Windows 95 displays a shortcut menu.
2 Click Properties.
Windows 95 displays the System Properties dialog box.
3 Click the Device Manager tab.
4 Double-click Ports (COM & LPT).
Device Manager displays the ports.
S Select Generic IR Serial Port and click Properties.
Windows 95 displays the Generic IR Serial Port Properties
dialog box.
6 Click the Resources tab.
The proper resources for the IrDA port are:
Input/Output Range: 03E8-03EF
Interrupt Request: 03
7 If these resources aren't set correctly, complete the rest
of the steps in this section.
S If these resources are set correctly, click OK, then click
Cancel to exit the System Properties dialog box. Con-
tinue with ''Install TranXit" on page 19.
9 Clear the check box next to "Use Automatic Settings."
10 Select the Basic Configuration 0002 from the "Setting
based on" drop-down list box.
11 Click Interrupt Request in the Resource Settings
section.
12 Click Change Setting.
