• Check the operation of the hydromassage pumps with the keys
"Pump 1"

• Check blower operation by pressing the "Blower"
• Check that the spotlights switch on and off using the "Light"
key.
• Check that there are no leaks from the hydraulic connections
or other problems.
• Completely disinfect the spa by carrying out "super-chlori-
nation".
Please refer to the Jacuzzi system water treatment
guide and relative catalogue for details on water qual-
ity maintenance, the methods and warnings governing
the use of relative chemical products.
• After a few hours, turn off the all pole circuit breaker (mains dis-
connect switch, see the chapter on "Electrical Connections").
• Open the drain valve and completely empty the bath.
WARNING
Do not use the spa the first time you start it as
there is a high concentration of chlorine in the
water during this phase.
Immediately empty the bath.
• Close the drain valve and re-fill the spa with fresh water up to
the level mark on the skimmer.
• Turn the mains disconnect switch back on, setup the filtration
cycle according to the customer's needs, and program a water
treatment cycle.
I
DRAINING THE TUB
WINTER INACTIVITY
Periodically, the spa must be drained in order to ensure that
water is changed and to clean the tub. This operation depends
on frequency of use of the spa, number of users, water qual-
ity, type of contaminants in the water, etc. If the spa is used
only by the family, good water quality may be maintained for
several weeks, whereas more intensive use may make it nec-
essary to change the water several times a week.
CAUTION
Before emptying, make sure that the chemical ad-
ditive values in the water are within the permitted
limits. If in doubt, contact the local authorities.
DO NOT EMPTY THE WATER INTO A SEPTIC TANK.
In areas where winter temperatures frequently drop be-
low 0°C, during periods in which the spa is not used, pro-
ceed as follows:
• Disconnect the electricity from the main control panel.
.
key.
• Empty the spa completely by using the drain valve (detail C of
i
2), and leave it open. The emptying of the spa is not com-
plete; stagnant water on the seats and bottom of the tub can
be eliminated with a sponge, while water left in the hoses can
be sucked out through the hydromassage and suction intakes,
using a liquid-suction pump. It is advisable to run the blower
briefly to eliminate any water remaining in the circuit and al-
so to empty the pumps using the drain plugs.
IMPORTANT
In cold climates, where temperatures drop well
below 0°C, all residual water should be elimi-
nated from the circuit.
• Remove and clean the filter cartridges and store in a dry place.
• Cover the spa to keep it clean.
• Before using the spa again, refer to the chapter "Instructions
for use - part two ".
Winter inactivity in warm climates
• In areas where temperatures only occasionally drop below 0
°C, the spa can be left in operation, since it is equipped with an
anti-freeze protection that ensures that a minimum water tem-
perature is maintained (see the chapter "Setting water tem-
perature", which contains paragraphs on maintaining the min-
imum water temperature and preventing freezing of water in the
pipes - "Smart Winter" mode).
I GENERAL MAINTENANCE
• Keep the spa covered at all times when not in use. In this way,
along with keeping the water from getting dirty, you will also avoid
heat loss and evaporation.
• Periodically clean the hydromassage and suction intakes.
WARNING
After cleaning immediately put the grilles of the
suction intakes back in place. These safety de-
vices must cover the suction intake in order to re-
duce the risk of hair or other body parts getting
caught. The intakes must be cleaned with the
bath empty. Remember to refit all the parts be-
fore re-filling the spa.
