Cabling at the IP-based port (Voice over IP)

(1) Setting up a DSL connection
Using the gray DSL cable, connect the gateway (via the VDSL/ADSL socket) to the
middle socket of the telephone service connection.
(2) Connecting ISDN devices
The connection of existing ISDN PBXs or ISDN telephones occurs via the four
black RJ-45 sockets labeled S

NOTE
Only ISDN phones or a PBX can be connected to each S
setup, the provided phone numbers will be available at S
changes to the settings via the user interface of the gateway. The assignment of
phone numbers to the ISDN devices occurs, as usual, at the devices themselves.
Direct wiring using terminal clamps
For home cabling, the gateway provides yet another way to connect PBXs using
spring loaded terminals. These are located on the left and right of the S
ports.

Connect the 230V power cord into an electrical outlet. Turn off the device via the
ON/OFF switch on the rear panel.

Operation is permitted only on sockets with protective grounding!
