CABINET PREPARATION
As defined in the •National Fuel Gas Code
(ANSI Z223.1, Latest Edition). The horizontal surfaces of the range
top (rangetop) trim must not be below countertop level.

Standard Installation:
Use the appropriate range
mount. Full backguard models
are available from Caliber, but
not required.
Important!
Always disconnect electric supply cord from the wall outlet or service
disconnect before servicing this appliance.

Observe oil governing codes and ordinances when grounding, in
absence of which, observe National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA No. 70.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS - RG6, RG4/CG4 & RG3/CG3 MODELS
The electrical supply must be a correctly polarized 120 volt AC, 60 Hz,
single phase circuit suitable for the maximum current draw of the model,
as detailed in the table below. Please verify your model's current draw by
checking the rating label on the back of the range.
REQUIRED GROUNDING METHOD - RG6, RG4/CG4 & RG3/CG3 MODELS
This appliance is factory equipped with a power supply cord with a three-prong grounding plug (with
polarized parallel blades). It must be plugged into a mating grounding-type receptacle, connected
to a correctly polarized 120 volt circuit. If the circuit does not have a grounding type receptacle, it is
the responsibility and obligation of the installer to have the existing receptacle changed to a properly
grounded and polarized receptacle in accordance with all applicable local codes and ordinances by a
qualified electrician. In the absence of local codes and ordinances, the receptacle replacement shall be
in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
Note: The third prong should not under ANY circumstances, be cut or removed.

BACKGUARD INSTALLATION

The backguard is located as shown in Fig. 13 on page 20. Secure the backguard to the wall behind
the range (full backguards). Specific instructions for installation can be found packaged with the
backguard. See also "Planning The Installation" section.
For all models, Caliber Appliances backguards are sold separately.
