Use these instructions to install and set up your N3400 storage system.

Unpacking the N3400

Use these instructions to unpack the N3400.
Important: If your system was shipped already assembled and cabled in a rack, go directly to "Setting
up and booting the system" on page 18.
Notes:
v The contents of the box will differ depending on the model you purchased. See step 2 on page 2 for a
list of contents for specific models.
v Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) modules are either in the accessory box or are installed in the fiber
ports of the system unit.

1. Lift the box from the crate, as shown in Figure 1. The contents will remain in place.
