Recording from an external
device (Camcorder/VCR/
DVD player)
Record from the connected external
device to a recordable DVD. Copy-
protected material cannot be recorded
on this recorder.
A
Turn on the TV to the correct viewing
channel for the recorder (e.g., 'EXT', '0',
'AV').
B
Connect the external device (e.g.,
camcorder, VCR, DVD player) to this
recorder.
C
Press CAM on the remote control.
Press P +/- repeatedly to select the
D
correct input channel that matches the
connected socket of the device.
{ CAM 1 } : VIDEO socket or
S-VIDEO socket on the front panel.
{ CAM 2 } : DV IN socket on the front
panel.
{ EXT 1 } : EXT1 TO TV scart socket
at the back.
{ EXT 2 } : EXT2 TO VCR/SAT scart
socket at the back.

Record from external devices

Turn on the external device and fi nd the
place where you want the recording to
begin, then set the external device to
pause mode.
F
Press REC
the external device playback.
To pause the recording, press u.
To continue recording, press u again.
A new chapter marker is created after
recording restarts (for recordable DVD
only).
G
To stop the recording, press STOP .
A new title will be created when you
begin another recording.
H
To exit, press LIVE TV.
Helpful Hint:
– If 'No Signal' appears on the TV screen, it
means that there is no video signal received
from the current input channel.
