This document provides installation and setup instructions for the IBM System Storage EXN3200
storage expansion unit, sometimes referred to as a shelf in this and other documents.

Software requirements
For new storage system installations, your storage system must be running Data ONTAP 8.1.1 or later
release in the 8.x release family.
