NOTICE
Refrigerant in Crankcase!
Do not disconnect power except for safety or service. Follow these procedures prior to startup if
unit has been charged or power has been disconnected for more than 12 hours. If system has
just been charged through liquid line service valve port, an 8 hour compressor oil warming time
is not required.
Set room thermostat to "OFF" position and ensure compressor is not running.
Apply power for at least 8 hours prior to startup by closing disconnect switch. This will energize
compressor oil heater which will evaporate any liquid refrigerant in crankcase. After 8 hours the
thermostat may be set to cooling.
Failure to follow the above could result in equipment damage.
