The use of the

Enter key is defined by the application you are using.
The .... Backspace key erases characters. Each time you press the Backspace
key, it moves the cursor one position to the left and erases the character in
that position.
The Spacebar key, when pressed, places a blank character on the display
screen and advances one space.
