The TI-36X
uses EOSè (Equation Operating
System) to evaluate expressions.
Order
Evaluation
1st
Expressions inside parentheses.
2nd
Functions which need a ) and precede the
argument, such as sin, log, and all R/P
menu items; Boolean Logic NOT and 2's
complement.
3rd
Fractions.
4th
Functions that are entered after the argument,

and angle unit modifiers (
metric conversions.

Exponentiation (^) and roots (

Negation (L).
7th
Permutations (nPr) and combinations (nCr).
8th
Multiplication, implied multiplication, division.
9th
Addition and subtraction.

Boolean logic AND.
Boolean logic XOR and OR.

completes all operations and closes all
open parentheses.
You can change the order of operations by enclosing
expressions in parentheses.
