Cutting depth limiter
Together with the track arm, the cutting
depth limiter (47) makes grooving possi-
ble.
47
Adjustable fence
The fence (50) is fitted with adjustable
fence halves (49), which can be arrested
by means of a locking screw (48).
For making bevel cuts the fence halves
must be moved apart and arrested.
Bevel tilt setting
The track arm holder tilts through 47°
from vertical to the left or right, with posi-
tive stops at 0°, 22.5°, 33.9°, and 45°.
To tilt the track arm holder, the lock lever
(51) must be loosened and, if necessary,
the plunger pin (52) pulled out.
22
In order to prevent the angle of inclina-
tion from changing during cutting, the
ratchet lock lever must be tightened
(also when engaged at a positive stop!) .

Danger!
A
Wood dust of certain species
(e.g. oak, beech, ash) can cause can-
cer when inhaled: use a dust collector
− when using the saw in enclosed
spaces;
− when using the saw over exten-
ded periods (more than 1/2 hour
48
per day);
− when cutting oak, beech or ash.
The dust collector must meet the fol-
49
lowing requirements:
50
− Connectors fitting the suction
connector diameters (43 mm at
sawhead; 58 mm at bevel tilt set-
ting);
− Air flow volume
− Vacuum at suction connector of
saw
530 Pa;
− Air speed at suction connector of
saw
20 m/s.
Also follow the instructions supplied with
the dust collector!

Mains connection

B
Danger! High voltage
Operate this machine in dry sur-
roundings only.
Operate the machine only on a
power source meeting the follo-
wing
requirements
"Technical Specifications"):
− mains voltage and system fre-
quency conform to the voltage
and frequency shown on the
machine´s rating label;
− fuse protection by a residual
current operated device (RCD)
of 30 mA sensitivity;
− Outlets
earthed, and tested.

8. Operation

A
Danger!
Before starting any work, check
to see that the safety devices are
in proper working order.
Use personal protection gear.
Assume proper operating posi-
tion:
− at the front of the saw;
− in front of the saw;
− to the side of the line of cut.
Risk of crushing! When tilting the
sawhead, do not reach into the
hinge area or under the saw! Hold
at sawhead. When pushing the
table side extension back, do not
reach between extension and
table.
If the type of work requires, use
the following:
− work support – for long stock,
which would otherwise fall off
the table on completion of the
cut;
− dust collector.
Cut only stock of dimensions that
allow for safe and secure holding
while cutting.
Use an auxiliary fence if small
cutoffs will result when cutting.
Saw work pieces conforming to
the
following
dimensions
described
under
"Cutting
Small Cutoffs:
− cutoff < 20 mm,
− height > 80 mm,
− width > 125 mm.
Always hold the workpiece down
on the table and do not jam it. Do
not attempt to stop the saw blade
by exerting lateral pressure. Risk
of injury if the saw blade is blok-
ked.
