FIELD REPLACEABLE UNIT DOCUMENTATION

TOP COVER REMOVAL

M2.5x25 black screws
M2.5x6 black flat head screws
1. Turn the computer upside down and remove the
following nineteen screws:
- 13 M2.5x6 black screws
- 6 M2.5x25 black screws
TOP COVER REMOVAL
Left/Right speaker harness
1. Disconnect the LCD harness from PJ5001 on the
system board.
2. Disconnect the left and right speakers from PJ2021
and PJ2020 on the system board.
3. Separate the top cover from the bottom cover by lifting
up the rear of the top cover and slowly working your way
to the front cover.

M2x6 brass screws
2. Turn the computer right side up and open the
LCD panel.
3. Remove two M2.5x16 black and two M2x6 brass
screws securing the heat sink plate.
4. Lift out the heat sink plate.
COOLING MODULE REMOVAL
Cooling
module
M2.5x6 black flat head screw
1. Disconnect the fan harness from PJ8770 on the
system board.
2. Remove two M2x6 brass screws and one M2.5x6
black flat head screw securing the cooling module
to the system board.
3. Lift out the cooling module.
Heat sink plate
M2.5x6 black screw
M2x6 brass screws
