Rectify the malfunction immediately–
After taking the specified steps to correct the suspected problem, check that the warning
message and light go off.

The electronic key

when an attempt is
made to start the
engine.

outside the vehicle
and a door other

door was opened
and closed while
the ENGINE START
STOP switch was
in a mode other
than off.

outside the vehicle
and the driver's
door was opened
and closed while
the shift lever in
P position was
selected without
turning off the
ENGINE START
STOP switch.
WHEN DRIVING
Correction
procedure
Start the engine
with the electronic
key present.
Bring the
electronic key back
into the vehicle.
Press the ENGINE
START STOP
switch off or bring
the electronic
key back into the
vehicle.
