repeatedly, the shift lock system
may have a failure. Have the
vehicle inspected at your dealer.
When performing the below
operations, make sure the parking
brake is securely engaged.
1. Securely pull the parking brake
lever. Make sure to shut down
the engine and block the
wheels with chocks.
2. Remove the cup holder (1) by
removing the three Torx
bolts (2).
3. Remove the selector lever
cover by removing the four
screws and lifting it up.
4. Move the selector lever (1) to
the N while pressing the
release lever (2).
When reinstalling the selector lever
cover and cup holder, perform the
procedure above in reverse order. In
that case, tighten the Torx bolts to
4
(35 lb in).
