Frame Lines

To aid in framing, both the MVF-2 and the SDI outs can display frame lines overlaid on the image.
Frame lines can be considered electronic versions of ground glass markings in film cameras.
You can configure which frame line the camera should show and how it should be displayed (color and
transparency). You can also configure up to two user rectangles which allow you to mark a rectangular
area on the image, e.g. for marking an area that you need to keep clear during shooting for later VFX
insertion.
Custom frame lines can be created using the
Setting the Frame Line
1. Select MENU > Monitoring > Frame Lines > Frame Line.
A list of installed frame lines is displayed.
2. Select a frame line from the list or add and select a custom frame line.
Frame Line Color
The frame line color is a global setting and defines the color of the frame line, the center mark, the user
rectangle(s) and the surround mask (if mask is set to Colored Line).
1. Select MENU > Monitoring > Frame Lines > Frame Line Color .
Following frame line colors are available:
Red
Green
Blue
Cyan
2. Set the desired frame line color.
Frame Line Intensity
You can set the brightness of the frame line, center cross and user rectangles.
1. Select MENU > Monitoring > Frame Lines > Frame Line Intensity
2. Set the frame line intensity in a range from 1 to 4.
User Rectangles
You can configure width, height and offset (i.e. position from left and top screen edge) in per mill. You
can also reset all settings.
1. Select MENU > Monitoring > Frame Lines > User Rectangles.
You have the following options:
Off
Rect 1
Rect 2
Rect 1 + 2
2. Configure the display of user rectangles.
3. Select MENU > Monitoring > Frame Lines > User Rectangle 1 or MENU > Monitoring > Frame
Lines > User Rectangle 2.
You have the following options:
Frame Line & Lens Illumination
Magenta
Yellow
Black
White
User Rectangles are not displayed.
Only user rectangle 1 is displayed.
Only user rectangle 2 is displayed.
User rectangels 1 + 2 are displayed.
