    This guide is only intended for installation of ATA devices over a public internet connection, also referred to as over-the-top (OTT). NOTE: If you are porting your telephone number from another service provider, you may experience a service outage between 7:00am GMT-6 no DST (when the service is provisioned) and 9:00am GMT-6 no DST (when the numbers are ported over from the other service provider).
  • Page 4 2. Use the ethernet cable to connect the blue ethernet LAN port, located on the back of the ATA, to a network. After a few seconds, a solid blue light should come on indicating that the network is connected. 3. Attach an analog phone to the green phone port numbered 1, located on the back of the ATA. Wait for the ATA to establish network connectivity.
  • Page 5 8. Click on Advanced Settings. Complete the fields as follows: Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning: Upgrade Via: Click HTTP. Firmware Server Path and Config Server Path: Enter dms.ibc.sasktel.com/dms/defott/ in both fields. HTTP/HTTPS User Name: Enter the 10-digit user name provided in your IBC login and support email.
  • Page 6 9. Scroll down to the bottom, click Apply. 10. Reboot the device. i. Click Advanced Settings. ii. Scroll to the bottom and click Reboot. iii. Close the webpage as it will not update you on the reboot process if open. NOTE: You can also disconnect and reconnect the power cord to reboot.
  • Page 7 VOIP 9-1-1 Important information regarding emergency calls: 9-1-1 service is available in a non-standard way with SaskTel IBC. The caller’s location and telephone number are not automatically transmitted with the 9-1-1 call. The caller must orally provide the information to the operator answering the call. For calls made from within Canada and the United States, an operator will answer the 9-1-1 call, request the caller’s telephone number, location and emergency service required and route the call to the public safety answering point serving the location provided by the caller.
