Update Your Tablet Using HiSuite

You can use HiSuite to update your Tablet to the latest system version. If your Tablet does not boot
properly, you can use the system restore feature to erase your personal information and restore your
Tablet.
Before updating, ensure that your Tablet does not have an unofficial system version installed,

otherwise the update may fail.
Go to http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_cn/index.html to download and install
l
HiSuite.
Ensure that your Tablet is at least 20% charged during the update process.

During the update process, do not disconnect the USB cable, power off or restart your Tablet,
l
or insert or remove a microSD card.
System update
Connect your Tablet to a computer using a USB cable, and then open HiSuite and select Update. The
system will automatically update when a new version is detected.
System restore
Connect your Tablet to a computer using a USB cable. When your Tablet is powered off, press and
hold the Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds to enter FASTBOOT
mode. Open HiSuite. Select Restore, and then follow the onscreen instructions to restore the system.
The system will be automatically restored to the specified version when your Tablet restarts.

Use eRecovery to Restore Your Tablet

If your Tablet does not boot properly or the system is unstable, you can use the Huawei system
recovery feature (eRecovery) to restore your Tablet.
Updating your system requires an Internet connection. Restore your Tablet over a Wi-Fi

network to avoid incurring unnecessary data charges.
Ensure that your Tablet is at least 15% charged during the update process.

Connect your Tablet to a computer using a USB cable. When your Tablet is powered off, press and
hold the Volume up and Power buttons simultaneously for approximately 15 seconds to enter
eRecovery mode.

Go to Download latest version and recovery > Download and recovery. The system will
automatically enable Wi-Fi and scan for available hotspots.

After selecting and connecting to an available Wi-Fi hotspot, the system will automatically
download the update package.

The update will be automatically installed when the package has finished downloading. After the
update is complete, your Tablet will automatically restart when the countdown timer reaches zero.
