Setting the NTSC PB switch to
match your TV system
You have to set the NTSC PB switch on the
rear of the VCR according to your TV system
to display the on-screen menus when there is
no video signal input, and play back a tape
recorded in the NTSC 3.58 system properly.
Set the NTSC PB switch following the table below.
If your TV is compatible with
PAL, SECAM, or MESECAM

Notes
• If a video signal is input to the VCR (via the line input, tuner, or playback), the on-
screen menus will appear on your TV regardless of the NTSC PB switch setting.
• If your TV is compatible with the SECAM system, the on-screen menus may be
displayed in black and white.
