5.4 Operation Mode

<Overview>
You can set an operation mode according to the measurement method for the object to be mea-
sured.

■ Auto edge detection mode (

■ Edge detection mode (
■ External form/width detection mode (
■ Inside diameter/gap detection mode (
■ Central position detection mode (
For the setting procedure for each operation mode, refer to "6.3.1 Operation Mode".

5.4.1 Auto Edge Detection Mode

This mode automatically recognizes the direction in which the measured object enters the mea-
surement area of the sensor head (TOP or BOTTOM side). The distance from the edge of the
side where the measured object enters the measurement area to the edge of the measured ob-
ject is measured.
