    The Timer Setting the clock “– –:– –” indication appears in the display until you set the clock. The time display system of this player is the 24-hour system. CLOCK Before you set the clock, connect the power source (pages 25 - 27). Press and hold CLOCK for 2 seconds until the hour digits flash.

    Waking up to music You can wake up to music or a radio program at a preset time. Make sure you have set the clock (“Setting the clock” on page 21). The Timer TIMER STANDBY Before you begin, make sure the t (clock) indication is not lit in the display.

    Setting Up Hooking up the system Make sure you turn off the power before making any connections. Tips • To detach the speakers, unlock speaker (see B on the diagram) and slide the speaker box all the way up and away from the player.

    Troubleshooting Symptom The power is not on. There is no audio. Noise is heard. “no disc“ lights in the display even when a CD is in place. The CD does not play. The sound drops out. The audio is weak or has poor quality.
