Waking up to music

You can wake up to music or a radio
program at a preset time. Make sure you
have set the clock (see "Setting the clock" on
page 30).
Jog dial
(PUSH ENTER/
MEMORY)
STANDBY
Before you begin, make sure the
indicator is not lit on the display. If it is lit,
press STANDBY.

Prepare the music source you want to
play.
Source
CD
TAPE
TUNER
LINE

Press TIMER.
The
indicator and setting display
appear.

Turn the jog dial to select "PB", and
press the jog dial to enter the selection.

Do this
Insert a CD.
Insert a tape.
Tune in a station.
Turn on the equipment
connected to LINE IN.

Turn the jog dial to select the music
source you want to play ("CD",
"TAPE", "TUNER" or "LINE"), and
press the jog dial to enter the selection.

Set the timer to the hour and the
minutes you want the music to go on.
1 Turn the jog dial to set the hour and
press it.
2 Turn the jog dial to set the minutes
and press it.

Set the timer to the hour and the
minutes you want the music to go off.
(Do as step 5.)

Turn the jog dial to set the volume you
want.

Press STANDBY.
The
indicator lights up and the power
goes off; the player enters the standby
mode.
At the preset time, the power will go on
and music will play. Then the power
will go off at the preset time, and the
player will enter the standby mode
again.
