If an automatic skip must comefirst in a card immediately
followed by automatic duplication, the procedure for hand-
ling the punchingis:
1. Long-skip field

matic duplication in the second field. (This can be
doneif the skip is fairly long.)
Punchthe second field and turn on the auto skip/dup

of a group is punched in column 80.
b. Press the skip key to skip the first field of thefirst
card in the following group.
c. Punchthe second field and turn on the auto skip/dup
switch.

When an automatic skip field comes between twofields
programmed for automatic duplication, punch thefirst
card as follows:
1. Turn off the auto skip/dup switch when the cardis
registered in column 1.
2. Punchthe first and secondfields.
Press the skip key to skip the third field.
4. Punch the fourth field and turn on the auto skip/dup
switch.
