Changing playback
speed (Speed Control)
The Speed Control function is useful for
language study and other purpose. This
function changes the playback speed
without changing the playback pitch.
The playback speed can be varied from
+100% to –50% the normal speed, in 13
steps.

While playing, enter the menu and
select "Useful" – "SpeedControl".
The player changes to speed-setting
mode.

Turn the jog dial to select the desired
playback speed, and then press the
dial to enter the selection.
Select the speed while listening the
sound.
"SC" appears in the display after you
entered the selection.
To return to normal speed
Set the playback speed to 0% in step 2.
Note
When using Speed Control, you may hear noise
or an echo in the playback.
Connecting to a stereo
system (LINE OUT)
You can listen to the playback sound from
connected component. Connect the i/
LINE OUT jack of the recorder to the
LINE IN jacks of an amplifier or a tape
player with a line cable.
Jog dial
When connecting a line cable to the i/
LINE OUT jack of the recorder, be sure to
set the "Audio Out" parameter for the i/
LINE OUT jack.
This operation can be done on the
recorder only.
