    IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS NEVER use a scouring pad on the unit. NEVER leave unit unattended while in use. NEVER place anything other than the intended sugar or candies in the Extractor Head. NEVER pour water or any other liquid into the Extractor Head. NEVER put fingers on or near the Extractor Head or Heating Element while machine is on, nor while it is still hot.

    INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the HARD & SUGAR-FREE CANDY COTTON CANDY MAKER, part of Nostalgia Electrics’ Vintage Collection. This convenient tabletop unit beautifully resembles the carnival vendor carts of the early 1900s. While designed to look like a nostalgic cart of the past, the HARD & SUGAR-FREE CANDY COTTON CANDY MAKER is in fact a technologically modern appliance.

    PARTS & ASSEMBLY After taking the HARD & SUGAR-FREE CANDY COTTON CANDY MAKER out of the box: Wipe down the unit exterior and bowl with a non-abrasive cloth or sponge before using. To attach the Extractor Head, push down onto the stem and make sure that the grooves are properly aligned to fit over the pegs on the stem.

    HOW TO OPERATE First, find a stable surface near an electrical outlet before starting. Make sure the cord is away from any water source. It is acceptable to use an extension cord if needed. Plug in unit at the OFF position. Turn unit to ON position and allow it to run for at least 5 minutes before adding hard candy.

    HELPFUL TIPS When using sugar: • Only add 1 tablespoon of sugar at a time. • Make sure the sugar is level after pouring into the Extractor Head. • To add a little flavor and color, mix a pinch of your favorite pre-sweetened drink mix to the sugar.

    CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Make sure the unit is unplugged and has had time to cool down before cleaning. After cooling, remove the Extractor Head by firmly gripping both sides and pulling straight up. UNLOCK bowl by turning clockwise and lifting. Wash both in warm water, rinse and dry. Use a clean, slightly damp, non-abrasive sponge or non-abrasive cloth to wipe down the outside of the unit, then wipe with a non-abrasive towel to dry.
