Connecting DSL
Take the gray DSL cable and plug the jack into the gray socket marked DSL

on your VMG5304. Insert the other jack of the cable into the middle socked

When you later switch on the power supply (see the Initial setup section),

the DSL LED starts flashing. After the DSL synchronization has completed
successfully, the DSL LED lights solid green. This process may take several
minutes.
Connecting analog telephones
Take the phone jack (TAE connector) of your DECT base station (or analog

phone) and insert it into the TAE socket labeled TEL on the VMG5304 (TAE
socket only at VMG5304-D70A).
Alternatively, you can also connect a telephone via the socket labeled TEL.

NOTE
One analog telephone can be connected to the VMG5304. After the initial setup,
the provided phone numbers will be available at this phone.
You can make changes to the settings via the user interface of the VMG5304
Telephone cables have different codes at the connectors. Use the connection
cable associated with the telephone.
Connecting computers via the LAN sockets
Take the yellow network cable included in the package and use it to connect your
Ethernet-enabled device such as a notebook, media receiver or NAS with the
VMG5304.

NOTE
If you need more than 2 wired LAN connections, you can expand your network
with a switch. For trouble-free operation with maximum transmission speed, you
should only use accessories of category 6 (or later) for the complete network ins-
tallation.
Connecting the power supply
„ Take the cable end of the power adapter and insert it into the socket labeled
POWER on VMG5304 and plug the AC adapter into a 230V power outlet.
