    SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Failure to comply may cause injury or damage! It is important that the Raz Rehab Shower Chair be properly assembled and all adjustments be made carefully. For clarification of any section of this manual, contact the Canadian distributor or manufacturer.
  • Page 3 Transferring onto a Raz AP Shower Chair – always lock all four casters in their out-bound position (front casters positioned in the forward and out position / rear casters positioned to the rearward and out position) for maximum chair stability.

    SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS Backrest Set-Up – AP / SP Models Tools needed: 7/16” wrench, and 5/32” hex key 1. Remove Shower Chair from shipping carton. 2. Place a coved spacer on the outside of both vertical backrest frame tubes. Align spacer with hole on bottom of frame.
  • Page 5 5. Reverse process to remove seat from frame. Caster Installation – AP / SP Models 1. Remove casters from accessory box. 2. Insert the caster extension tube into the lower frame receiver tube to the desired position.
  • Page 6 Rear Wheel Installation with Standard Axle Bolt – SP Model Tools needed: ¾” socket wrench, ¾” wrench 1. Remove wheels from shipping carton. 2. Remove axle bolts and nuts from carton divider. 3. Remove hubcap from one wheel by twisting hubcap counter clockwise. 4.
  • Page 7 Anti - Tipper Installation – SP Model 1. Remove anti-tipper assemblies from inner accessory box. 2. Remove the snap pin from one upper anti-tip tube. 3. Insert the anti-tipper tube into frame. 4. Set anti-tipper to desired height – approximately 1.5” from the ground. 5.
  • Page 8 Locking Armrest - All Models Tools needed: ½” wrench, 3/16” hex key Kit includes: Left & Right Latch Plate, Left Spring & Right Spring, 5/16” x ¾” bolt (x2), 5/16” flat washer (x2), 5/16” Lock Nut 1. Remove pieces from kit. 8.
  • Page 9 ADJUSTMENTS IMPORTANT! ADJUSTMENTS SHOULD NEVER BE ATTEMPTED WITH THE USER IN THE CHAIR! Footplate Adjustment - All Models 1. Remove a plastic snap pin from one footplate hanger tube. 2. Adjust the footplate extension tube vertically to achieve desired height in the footrest hanger tube.
  • Page 10 20” back height with adjustable height and angle armrests Seat Height Adjustment – AP Model The Raz AP Model has four telescopic caster extensions that provide a height adjustment range of 3”. 1. Remove the snap pin holding the caster extension tube in place, from the chair frame.
  • Page 11 IMPORTANT! ALL CASTER STEMS MUST BE ADJUSTED TO THE SAME HEIGHT. NEVER ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THE FRAME ANGLE WITH THE CASTER POSITION. UNEQUAL CASTER POSITION WILL REDUCE THE CHAIR’S STABILITY AND MAY RESULT IN TIPPING. Rear Wheel Height Adjustment Tools needed: ¾” socket wrench, ¾” wrench, Two 1-1/8” wrenches or adjustable wrenches 1.
  • Page 12 Brake Adjustment - SP Model Tools needed: 4.5mm hex key 1. Loosen (do not remove) clamp bolts on one push-to-lock brake. 2. Shift push-to-lock brake along frame so that it engages with and stops wheel movement. 3. Tighten brake clamp bolts. 4.
  • Page 13 Armrest Angle Adjustment - All Models The armrest angle can be adjusted up 5° or down 5° if the backrest angle is adjusted from the 90° factory position. Tools needed: ½” wrench, 3/16” hex key 1. Loosen and remove lower bolt, washer, and lock nut.
