    Charging the battery pack You cannot charge the battery pack while your camera is turned on. Be sure to turn off your camera before charging.     Setting the date and time When you first use your camera, set the date and time. If these are not set, the CLOCK SET screen appears whenever you turn on your camera for recording. Slide down the POWER switch to turn on the power. The POWER lamp lights up.

    Basic operations Recording still images Still images are recorded in JPEG format. To record still images, slide the POWER switch down to turn on the power and insert a “Memory Stick.” Set the MODE selector to STILL. Press and hold the shutter button halfway down and check the image.
