Symptom
Uneven depth of cut
side to side.
Head difficult to adjust.
Head cannot be
lowered.
Board thickness doesn't
match thickness scale.
Chain keeps coming off
sprocket(s).

Possible Cause
Knife projection not uniform.
Table not parallel to cutterhead.
Lack of lubrication on corner posts and
lead screws.
Thickness gauge is preventing further
movement.
Buildup of debris on leadscrews and/or
columns.
Thickness scale out of adjustment.
Chain or sprocket(s) are worn.
Correction*
Inspect all knife inserts for positioning and
tightness.
Contact JET technical service.
Lubricate posts and lead screws.
Reset thickness gauge dial setting.
Clean affected areas, and re-grease.
Recalibrate thickness scale/cursor, and make
test cuts.
Inspect and replace as needed.
