INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

STARTING THE REFRIGERATOR
FIRE HAZARD. When the RV has not been
used for some time, make sure that the path
between the burner jet and the burner tube
has not been obstructed before lighting the
LP gas burner. Failure to obey this warning
could cause a fire resulting in death or seri-
ous injury.
FIRE OR EXPLOSION HAZARD. When refuel-
ing or parked near gasoline pumps shut off all
LP gas appliances. Failure to obey this warn-
ing could cause a fire or explosion resulting
in death or serious injury

1. Check that all the manual gas valves are in the
ON position - including the manual shutoff valve
at the rear of the refrigerator.
2. Make sure that a continuous 12 VDC supply is
available for the electronic control to function.
3. To turn on the refrigerator, press the ON/OFF
button (ON position).
To select AUTO mode, follow these steps:
1. Press the AUTO/GAS mode selector button. The
AUTO lamp will illuminate.
- If 120 VAC is available, the AC mode indicator
lamp will illuminate indicating AC operation.
- If 120 VAC is not available, the GAS mode indi-
cator lamp will illuminate and the control system
will automatically switch to GAS operation.
2. If the CHECK indicator lamp illuminates and the
GAS mode indicator lamp is off, the controls have
failed to ignite the burner in the GAS mode.
GAS operation may be reset by pressing the main
power ON/OFF button to off and then back on
again.

To select GAS mode, follow these steps:
1. Press the AUTO/GAS mode selector button to
turn off the AUTO lamp. The GAS mode indica-
tor lamp will illuminate. Within 45 seconds the
burner should be ignited and operating normally.
- On the initial refrigerator start-up it may take
longer than 45 seconds to allow air to be purged
from the gas line.
- If the gas does not ignite within 45 seconds the
CHECK indicator lamp will illuminate and the
GAS mode indicator lamp will go off.
- To reset when the CHECK indicator lamp is
illuminated, press the ON/OFF button off and
then back on again.
- Do not continue to reset GAS operation if the
CHECK indicator lamp continues to be illumi-
nated after several tries.
ADJUSTING THE THERMOSTAT
The thermostat controls both the gas and electric opera-
tion, thereby eliminating the necessity of resetting each
time a different energy source is employed. After the initial
start-up, the thermostat should be adjusted to the desired
temperature setting, usually about mid setting.
1. Press the temperature selector button until the
lamp at the desired setting is illuminated.
TURNING OFF THE REFRIGERATOR
AND WHEN NOT IN USE
The refrigerator may be shut off while in any mode of
operation.
1. To turn off the refrigerator, press ON/OFF button
(OFF position).
If the refrigerator will not be in operation for an extended
period of time or put into winter storage, it should be
emptied, defrosted, cleaned and the doors left ajar. If ice
cube trays are in use, they should also be dried and kept
outside the cabinet.
This refrigerator is intended for continuous
use. Do not allow it to run unattended when
there is a risk for loss of electricity or fuel.
Food spoilage could occur.
