Touching the DC conductors or the live components can lead to lethal electric shocks.

This will ensure that no moisture can penetrate the inverter. ☐ The inverter should be mounted in such way that display messages and LED signals can be read without difficulty.

    SMA Solar Technology AG 6 Electrical Connection Grounding conductor monitoring: The inverter is equipped with a grounding conductor monitoring device. This grounding conductor monitoring device detects when there is no grounding conductor connected and disconnects the inverter from the utility grid if this is the case. Depending on the installation site and grid configuration, it may be advisable to deactivate the grounding conductor monitoring.

    SMA Solar Technology AG 6 Electrical Connection 6.3.3 Connecting Additional Grounding If additional grounding or equipotential bonding is required locally, you can connect additional grounding to the inverter. This prevents touch current if the grounding conductor at the terminal for the AC cable fails.

    SMA Solar Technology AG 7 Commissioning Commissioning Commissioning Procedure Before you can commission the inverter, you must check various settings and make changes if necessary. This section describes the procedure and gives an overview of the steps, which must always be performed in the prescribed sequence.

    ☑ The inverter will adopt the setting after commissioning. This can take up to five minutes. Setting the NetID By default, the NetID is set to 1 for all SMA inverters and SMA communication products with BLUETOOTH.
