Brewing Coffee using Pre-Ground Beans

n Open the lid by pressing the indentation marked 'PUSH' . Add water by filling your chosen
cup with water and pouring this water into the reservoir. This ensures that you have exactly
the right amount of water to make your cup of coffee.
N.B All of the water that you put into the reservoir will be used to produce your cup of coffee.
Do not fill the water reservoir with more than 450ml of water. You will notice slightly less water
comes out into the cup as a small amount is absorbed by the coffee grinds. This allows enough
room in the cup to add milk. Should you drink your coffee black, you can fill your cup with water
then add an extra splash more into the water reservoir.
n Pull out the coffee filter basket compartment by gripping each side of the compartment with
one hand whilst holding the machine in place with the other. Pull the compartment and it
will slide towards you.
n Remove the filter basket cover and insert the gold-tone filter into place. For easy clean
up, insert a number 2 sized paper filter (included) into the gold-tone filter. You can use the
machine without the paper filter but this means washing out the gold-tone filter after each
use.
n If using the paper filter, make sure it is completely open and touching the side walls and
bottom of basket.
