3 Read reports: whether to send report to the sender (Send report) or request read report from
the receiver (Request report)
4 Deliver receipts: whether to send receipt to the sender (Send receipt) or request receipt from
the receiver (Request receipt)
5 Message lifetime: to set the length of time the service centre should keep and attempt to
deliver your messages.
6 Message groups: to set groups of phone numbers for group messaging (at most 9 groups
can be set, with at most 10 numbers in each group).
Meanwhile, there are also the following settings menus available:
SMS
1) Message centre: to enter the number of service centre provided by your network operator.
2) Route: the set the delivery route of SMS messages (CSD/GPRS)
3) SMS firewall
a. SMS firewall status: (Activate accept list/Activate reject list/Off)
b. Accept SMS (Edit accept list/Reject with indication (On/Off))
c. Reject SMS (Edit reject list/Reject with indication (On/Off))
Note: When Reject with indication is set to be On, the text prompt "** rejected SMS" will be
dislayed in the idle screen when there are SMS messages automatically filered by the SMS
firewall.
MMS
1) Message centre: to enter the number of service centre provided by your network operator.
2) WAP profile: to select a WAP profile to be used.
3) Auto doawnload (Home): to select whether to auto download MMS messages in your home
network (Automatic/Prompt/On read)
4) Auto download (roaming): to select whether to auto download MMS messages when
roaming (Automatic/Prompt/On read)
5) Spam filer: to select whether or not to receive AD MMS (Off/Prompt if Spam/Reject spam)
6) Maximum size: to set the maximum size for a single MMS message (50K/100K/300K)
Broadcast SMS
This menu allows you to manage the reception of SMS broadcast regularly transmitted to all
subscribers on the network. It gives you access to the following options:
1) Reception: to set the reception on cell broadcast messages On or Off.
2) Languages: to set the display language of cell broadcast messages.
3) Info subjects: to define the type of broadcast messages you want to receive.
