TEST 6A

REPAIRING DRIVER SQUIB CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

Perform TEST 1A Before Proceeding
START TEST 6A.
TURN IGNITION ON
(ENGINE OFF).
RECONNECT THE
BATTERY.
DISCONNECT THE
CLOCKSPRING 2-WAY
HARNESS
CONNECTOR.**
WARNING:
DISCONNECT THE
BATTERY AND WAIT 2
MINUTES BEFORE
PROCEEDING.
USING A OHMMETER,
MEASURE THE DRIVER
AIRBAG
LINE 1 CKT AND
THEN LINE 2 CKT...
*Perform Verification TEST VER-1A.
NOTE: FOR LOCATION
OF ALL COMPONENTS.
SEE GENERAL INFO 4.0
WITH THE DRB, READ
THE ACTIVE CODES.
WITH THE DRB, READ
THE ACTIVE CODES.
DISCONNECT THE
AIRBAG CONTROL
MODULE 23-WAY
HARNESS
CONNECTOR.**
BETWEEN THE
CLOCKSPRING 2-WAY
HARNESS CONNECTOR
AND GROUND.

**Check connectors - Clean / repair as necessary.

EITHER CIRCUIT?

DISCONNECT THE
DRIVER AIRBAG
MODULE SQUIB
HARNESS
CONNECTOR.**
REPLACE THE DRIVER
AIRBAG MODULE.*
REPLACE THE
CLOCKSPRING.*
REPAIR THE DRIVER
AIRBAG LINE 1
CIRCUIT OR LINE 2
CIRCUIT FOR A
SHORT TO GROUND.*
PERFORM TEST
