Package Contents The following items are included with your purchase of the SUPH1 SIRIUS Plug and Play Home Kit. Unpack the kit carefully and make sure that everything shown is present. If anything is missing or damaged, or if the kit fails to operate properly, notify your dealer immediately. It is recommended that you retain the original carton and packing materials in case you need to ship your kit in the future. -

Controls Figure 1 and the section following identify and describe the connectors of the docking station. ANT Antenna Connector: Connection for the satellite antenna. DC5V Power Connector: Power connection for the AC Power Adapter. AUDIO OUT Connector: Audio output connection for connecting to your home enter- tainment system, if you are not using the FM transmitter. -

Installation Installing the Docking Station When installing the docking station in your home, choose a location in close proximity to your home entertainment system, and also where the cable from the indoor/outdoor antenna can reach the docking station. The location should be easily accessible and provide good visibility of the display, and should not be located where it will be in direct sunlight which will affect the visibility of the display screen. -

Docking the SIRIUS Receiver Place the SIRIUS receiver into the dock, aligning the connector on the receiver with the con- nector on the docking station, and gently press the receiver down until it is fully seated in the dock. Installing the Indoor/Outdoor Antenna Before installing the indoor/outdoor antenna, read this entire section. - Page 10 WEST Use the map to find the area you are located in (1 to 5). Then find the direction in which you need to have a clear view of the sky: area 1: You will need a location with a clear view of the sky facing eaST or noRTHeaST or SoUTHeaST area 2: You will need a location with a clear view of the sky facing noRTH or noRTH- eaST...
- Page 11 For example, suppose you live in area 2. You determined that your antenna will need to have a clear view of the sky facing north or northeast. The exact direction is determined by your specific location in area 2 relative to the X on the map: If you live in Texas, you will need a more north facing clear view of the sky whereas if you live in southern California, you will need a more northeast facing clear view of the sky.

Connecting the AC Power Adapter Connect the AC Power Adapter to the DC5V connector at the rear of the docking station (Figure 1), and plug it into a wall outlet. Connecting the Audio Cable (Recommended) If you will be connecting the docking station to your home entertainment system using the audio cable, connect the mini-plug end of the provided audio cable to the Audio Out connec- tor at the rear of the docking station. -

When you have successfully subscribed to the SIRIUS service, and the receiver has been updated with your subscription information, an alert will be displayed. To continue, press the Select button. Troubleshooting Symptom SIRIUS receiver does AC Power Adapter is not connected, or the AC outlet into which not power on it is plugged is not working. Check that the AC Power Adapter is connected to the docking station. Try plugging the AC Power adapter into a different outlet. SIRIUS receiver The satellite antenna is not connected to the docking station. -
