Preambles (D964)

Fast Keys
This is read by a HART Master Device e.g. a Rosemount 3490 Series Control Unit to determine
how many preamble bytes are to be sent with each HART protocol message.

Programming the 3102 and 3105 using HART
2, 2, 4 [or 5], 2, 2
From the Home screen, select 2: Configure.
Select 2: Manual Setup.
Select 4: HART/Identity (3105) or
5: HART/Identity (3102).
Select 2: Communication.
Select 2: Preambles D964.
When finished, select EXIT to exit to the previous menu.
From the Main Menu screen, select SETUP.
Select the transmitter (e.g. "Tx1: 3102").
Select SYSTEM.
Select FIXED.
Select HART.
Select Num Req Preams.
When finished, use the ESC key to exit to the previous menu.
