PRIVATE CALL

Receiving a Private Call

When your radio receives a private call, the
incoming private call tone sounds and the
display alternates between
and the home display. The green indicator (4)
and the call received icon flash.
Press the call response button (program-
mable) to view the ID of the calling party. If
the PTT is pressed within 20 seconds, the call
is answered and a private conversation can
go ahead. Otherwise the radio returns to the
home display.
N ote: If the call response button (program-
mable) is not pressed, the call will be ini-
tiated as a talkgroup call.
Press (14) or the call response button
HOME
(programmable) when the conversation is
over.

Sending a Private Call

Private calls can be selected either from a list
or directly via the keypad.
N ote: If your radio has been so programmed,
you can press the call button for quick
access to the Private Call function. Using
&
received ID, Private Call lists and your
own radio ID.
Press the private call button (programmable)
or select CALL through the menus.
