Setting up your Dell Premium Active Pen Dell Premium Active Pen uses one AAAA battery. The battery provides power for the tip, barrel buttons, Bluetooth functionality, and top button quick-launch features. Installing the battery CAUTION: Incorrectly installing the battery damages the pen.
