he airba system protects best with properly applied seat belts and re-

efore each ourney each occupant must always assume the correct seat-
ed position and correctly fasten the seat belt belon in to his or her seat and
keep it properly fastened durin the ride. his applies to all passen ers.

Ob ects located between the occupants and the airba deployment area in-
crease the risk of in ury when the airba s deploy. his would chan e the de-
ployment area of the airba s or the ob ects would be thrown a ainst the body.
ever hold ob ects in your hands or take them alon on your lap durin the
ride.
ever carry any ob ects in the passen er seat. he ob ects may enter the
deployment area of the airba s in sudden brakin or drivin manoeuvres and
be thrown dan erously throu h the interior should the airba s deploy.
o other people pets or ob ects may be present between the occupants in
the front seats and rear outer seats and the airba deployment area. Make
sure that this is respected also by children and passen ers.

he protective function of the airba system is only sufficient to activate the
airba s once. f airba s have been deployed the system must be replaced.
Deployed airba s and affected system parts must be immediately replaced
with new parts that are approved by Škoda for the vehicle.
Repairs and modifications to the vehicle may only be performed by a spe-
cialist ara e. pecialist ara es have the necessary tools dia nostic e uip-
ment repair information and ualified personnel.
ever install any airba parts in the vehicle that have been removed from
old cars or have been recycled.

A fine dust may be produced when the airba s deploy. his is normal and is
not an indication of a fire in the vehicle.
he fine dust may irritate the skin and mucous membranes of the eyes and
cause breathin difficulties especially in people sufferin or havin suffered
from asthma or other health effects of breathin . o reduce breathin difficul-
ties et out of the vehicle or open the windows or doors for fresh air to
breathe.
After contact with the dust wash your hands and face with mild soap and
water before the ne t meal.
