EXT STANDBY
When the EXT STANDBY input is pulled low, the GTX 3x5 is put in standby and will not transmit. This
input is typically used when installing two transponders, with a selector switch connected to select the
active transponder.
5.7.2
TEST MODE
The TEST MODE input is reserved for use at the factory and should not be connected in the aircraft
installation.
5.7.3
EXT IDENT
The EXT IDENT input is used as a remote input to enable the transponder ident function. This input
should be connected to a momentary switch.
5.7.4
AUDIO MUTE
The AUDIO MUTE input is used to mute the audio output alerts. The mute input may be connected to
audio alert outputs on other equipment and used to prioritize the audio alerting in the aircraft.

AIR/GROUND
The AIR/GROUND input is used to indicate the aircraft is in the air or on the ground. The input is typically
connected to the aircraft squat switch, if available.
