    To help us assist you, please note the product model number and serial number before calling. The model number of the treadmill is 831.294880. The serial num- ber can be found on a decal attached to the treadmill (see the front cover of this manual for the location).

    This does not affect treadmill performance. If there is lubricant on top of the walking belt or on the sides of the walking platform, wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Page 7 Screws. 4. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. Place a mat beneath the treadmill to protect the floor or carpet. For your benefit, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the TROUBLESHOOTING section on pages 24 and 25.

    (see drawing 1 at the right). To purchase a surge suppressor, see your local Sears or call 1-800-366-7278 and order part number 146148. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that is UL 1449 listed as a transient voltage surge sup- pressor (TVSS).
  • Page 9 Two heart rate programs are also offered. Each program automatically adjusts the speed and incline of the treadmill to keep your heart rate near a target heart rate while you exercise. The console also features iFIT.com interactive technol- ogy.
  • Page 10 Stand on the foot rails of the treadmill. Find the clip attached to the key (see the drawing on page 9) and slide the clip onto the waistband of your clothes.
  • Page 11 Step onto the foot rails, press the Stop button, and adjust the incline of the treadmill to the lowest setting. The incline must be at the lowest setting when the treadmill is folded to the storage posi- tion or the treadmill will be damaged.

If you are taking medication regu- larly, consult your physician to find whether the medication will affect your exercise heart rate.

    CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 pounds (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill. 1. Hold the treadmill in the locations shown at the right. To decrease the possibility of injury, bend your legs and keep your back straight.
  • Page 23 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1. Hold the treadmill frame firmly with your left hand. Pull the latch knob to the right. Pivot the treadmill down until the pin on the latch knob is below the handgrip. Slowly re- lease the latch knob.

    PROBLEM: The power turns off during use SOLUTION: a. Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord (see 1. c. above). If the circuit breaker has tripped, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in.
