For safe and efficient operation, observe these
guidelines.
Privacy of communications may not be ensured when
using your Radio. Your Motorola dealer may enable
encryption for sensitive communications.
Your Radio complies with Part 15 of the U.S. FCC
Rules and Industry Canada RSS-213. Operation is
subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference,
and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.

Scope

This document provides information and instructions for
the safe and efficient operation of Motorola Portable and
Mobile Two-Way Radios.
The information provided in this document supersedes
the general safety information contained in user guides
published prior to 1st April 1999. For information
regarding radio use in a hazardous atmosphere please
refer to the Factory Mutual (FM) Approval Manual
Supplement or Instruction Card which is included with
radio models that offer this capability.
