7. Check starting conditions:
• If engine is COLD: Gradually return the choke to
the OFF position after the engine starts and warms
up.
• If engine is WARM: Return choke to the OFF
position as soon as the engine starts.
8. Let engine run for a couple of minutes to warm-up
before operating machine.

Warming and Idling Engine

WARMING ENGINE:

• Run Engine at half speed for 2–3 minutes.
IDLING ENGINE:
• Engine is air-cooled and needs a large volume of air
to keep cool. Keep air intake screen (A) on top of engine
clean.
• Avoid unnecessary engine idling.

Stopping Engine

1. STOP tractor travel.
2. Move throttle lever (A) MIDWAY between slow (
and fast ( ) positions. Let the engine run a minimum of
15 seconds.

3. Turn key (B) to OFF position.
4. LOCK the park brake.
5. Remove key.
