1. Remove the nuts (1) and the drive belt cover.
2. Loosen the bolts (4) holding front of the cutting head
assembly (2).
3. Loosen the nut on the belt tensioner (3).
4. Adjust the belt tensioner until the correct belt tension
is achived (5).
5. Make sure the belt is correctly tensioned (40 Hz).
6. Tighten the nut (3) on the belt tensioner (5).
7. Tighten the bolts (4) of the cutting head assembly (2)
to lock and secure the belt tension
To tension the engine belt (MS 610 G)
CAUTION: When replacing the engine belt,
make sure to replace it with a belt that is
recommended by Husqvarna.
1. Loosen the 4 screws (1), do not remove them.

2. Loosen the nut on the belt tensioner (2).
3. Adjust the belt tensioner until the correct belt tension
is achived (3).
4. Make sure the belt is correctly tensioned (40 Hz).
5. Tighten the nut (2) on the belt tensioner (3).
6. Tighten the 4 screws (1).
To tension the engine belt (MS 610)
Check the V-belt when unit is new and make sure the
belt is correctly tensioned (40Hz). The saw has a high
tension V-belt. The belt is correctly tensioned at the
factory but after a few hours use the belt will be streched
and needs tensioning.
1. Loosen the 4 capscrews (1) that attach the motor.
2. Tighten the belt tensioning bolt (2) at the rear of the
saw until the belt has correct tension (40Hz)
3. Tighten the 4 capscrews that attach the motor.
