    WIRELESS LAN SETUP SHARP For MX-3070/3570/4070N series, two connection methods are available for Wireless LAN:- Infrastructure Mode: Infrastructure mode allows for wireless communication between two client devices via a host (access point). The MFP connects to an access point to obtain an IP address.
  • Page 26 WIRELESS LAN SETUP SHARP Configuring Wireless LAN: Before configuring the MFP device onto a customer network (using Infrastructure Mode), the following information from the customer’s network will be required:- SSID [Name of Wireless network]. Security Type [WEP, WPA, WPA2 etc].

    SHARP PRINT RELEASE SHARP The MX-3070/3570/4070N series can be configured for Pull / Find Me Printing by using the standard Sharp Print Release system (rather than external server). Sharp Print Release is a printing feature whereby a user’s print job is held on a Master MFP, and is released by the user on either a Master or Client MFP supporting this feature.

    FIRMWARE RECOVERY SHARP In the event of a power failure during a firmware update, the device may fail to “reboot” because of corrupted firmware. Using the CN Update procedure described below, this function is used to update/recover the firmware by transferring data to the MFP PWB, SCU PWB, PCU PWB, FAX PWB, and various options by means of a USB memory.

    HDD REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE SHARP Most data that is stored on the HDD can be backed up and reinstalled following replacement or HDD failure. If the HDD is operating normally before replacement, backup the data and then reinstall the data onto the replacement HDD.

For MX-3070/3570/4070N series, there are Two Simulation Modes: EASY Mode: Displays commonly used Simulations for each category, allowing easy access for technicians to change settings, perform maintenance and adjustments.
