In this, we make a distinction between wheelchair settings and wheelchair seating adjustment options. Settings are carried out once, the first time the wheelchair is going to be used. -

7.0 Using the seating system 7.1 Getting in and out of the wheelchair (Transferring) Sunrise Medical recommend that you consult your healthcare professional for assistance in developing your personal front or side transfer technique to best suit your needs and avoid any personal injury. - Page 21 Preparing for side transfer: DANGER! • Move your system as close as you can to the seat you are transferring to. If possible, use a transfer board. • Transfer as far back onto the seat surface as you can. This will reduce the risk that you will miss the seat or fall.
