BEFORE CONTACTING A SERVICE CENTER

Please check the following before contacting service center
Symptom
The camera
doesn't switch on.
The camera powers
down whilst in use.
Batteries drain
quickly.
Camera does not
take images when
pressing the Shutter
button.
Cause
There is low battery capacity.
AC Power Adapter is not
connected.
The batteries are exhausted.
Camera is turned off
automatically due to the Auto
power function.
Adapter plug is not connected
securely.
Camera being used in low
temperatures.
Mixing old and new batteries or
battery types.
CF CARD is not inserted
The CF CARD has not been
formatted.
The CF CARD is full.
The camera power is off.
The batteries are exhausted
The mode dial is positioned
incorrectly.
Remedy
Insert fresh batteries.
Connect AC Power Adapter.
Insert fresh batteries.
Press power switch to re-
activate camera.
Remove and re-insert plug.
Keep camera in warm conditions
(i.e. inside a coat or jacket) and
only remove it in order to take
images.
Insert fresh batteries (all of
which should be of the same
type)
After turning the camera off,
insert card.
Format the card.
Insert new CF CARD.
Turn the camera power on.
Insert fresh batteries
Rotate the mode dial to
SHOT mode.
