Messages

(Menu 8)
Use the Messages menu to send and
receive text messages, multimedia
messages, and e-mails. You can also access
push messages, voicemails, broadcast
messages, and configuration messages.
To access this menu, press <Menu> in Idle
mode and select Messages.

Create New Message

Use this menu to create and send text
messages, multimedia messages, or
e-mails.
Text Message
(Menu 8.1.1)
Short Message Service (SMS) allows you to
send or receive text messages.
Creating and sending an SMS message
1. Enter your message and press [Centre].
• The maximum number of characters
allowed in a message varies by service
provider. If your message exceeds the
maximum number of characters, the
phone will split the message.
• You can use various options by
pressing <Options>.

2. Enter a destination number.
To send the message to more than one
recipient, fill in additional destination
fields.
3. Press [Centre] to send the message.
Using options while composing an SMS
message
While composing a message, press
<Options> to access the following options:
Send: send the message.
Input Method: change the text input
mode.
Insert: insert a text template,
Phonebook entry, or bookmarked URL
address.
Save to Drafts: save the message in
the Drafts folder.
Multimedia Message
Multimedia Message Service (MMS) delivers
messages containing a combination of text,
image, video, and audio, from phone to
phone or from phone to e-mail.
