The DNS server provides DNS services such as Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) that is used by the WM to manage PMP 320 elements by their device names. The DNS server also provides the domain names to map the IP addresses to textual domain names. The APs and CSMs also use the DNS server when resolving server names such as for the Network Time Protocol (NTP) server.
