SmartWash ® cycle
The most advanced and versatile cycle. This cycle senses the soil amount and
toughness of soil. This cycle is optimized to achieve outstanding cleaning with minimal
water and energy.
Pots & Pans
Works best on your toughest items, such as casseroles with baked-on food residue.
China Gentle
Provides a light wash and gentle dry for delicate items such as china and crystal.
Mixed Load
This cycle washes the upper and lower racks at different spray intensities. The default
setting for this cycle washes the lower rack with strong spray intensity and the upper
rack with soft spray intensity.
This provides optimum cleaning performance for mixed loads, including fine china
and stemware. If other combinations are desired, press Spray Power to select the
spray intensity for the upper rack. Then press Half Rack and then Spray Power to
select the spray intensity for the lower rack.
Normal Wash
This cycle with only the Extra Dry option selected, and without other options selected,
is recommended to completely wash and dry a full load of normally soiled dishes.
The energy usage label is based on this cycle and option combination.
Express Wash
To save water and energy, high efficiency dishwashers use advanced filtration which
may result in longer cycle times (in some cases over 2 hours). When you need fast
results, the Express Wash cycle will clean your dishes using slightly more water and
energy. Then, towel dry dishes for immediate use. Select Extra Dry if you want to add
a drying option.
* This is the approximate cycle time obtained with 120°F (49°C) hot water available at the dishwasher. A lower incoming water
temperature will increase cycle times.
