ALERT AGENT™ SETUP
Version 3.0 introduces a few new concepts to give users better control and functional-
ity when configuring the EAS device and managing EAS alerts. The Alert Agent™ radio
button is new. It combines many existing feature and functions from previous software
versions and adds Alert Nodes, FIPS Location Groups, and EAS Code Groups.

Alert Policies
The Alert Policies sub-tab is broken into four sections; Decoder Alert Language, Config-
ure Duplicate EAS Alert Handling for Decoder Forwarding, Configure Update Policy for
Active EAS Alerts, and Configure Pending Alert Acknowledgment (this sub-tab requires
a Plus Package License Key). All changes to settings in this screen are immediate.

dling, update policy for active EAS alerts and pending alert
acknowledgment.
Create, edit, test and delete Alert Nodes.
Create custom text for Civil Emergency Messages.
Configure custom message forwarding
Create, edit, manage, and delete FIPS Location Groups along
with encoder FIPS locations.
Create, edit, manage, and delete EAS Code Groups along with
encoder EAS codes.
